Timothy is not only known for his sharp eye and iconic style; he is Denmark’s most award-winning designer and was named Designer of the Year in China in 2017 – a remarkable recognition in the world’s most populous country.
Timothy grew up immersed in Denmark’s design heritage as part of the country’s oldest and most influential design family. We meet him at the unique house and design studio located right by the Limfjord in Hejlskov, east of Skive. The place was the setting of his childhood and now functions as a creative powerhouse and home.
Soon, however, he will be heading to Guangdong, China, where he will live and work as an associate chief designer for companies including Hauswirt – one of China’s fastest-growing appliance brands. There, he has designed the company’s new headquarters and several of their popular products.
Design protection is a natural part of Timothy’s work. He began his career at just 16 and has since left his mark on everything from wristwatches (including pieces exhibited at MoMA in New York) and sunglasses to packaging design for Thise Dairy and sound systems for Bang & Olufsen.
