Press release
She originally earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration (cand.merc.) from Aarhus University BSS and later a Master of Laws (cand.jur.) from the University of Southern Denmark. In 2023, she was admitted as an attorney. Her areas of expertise include intellectual property law, contracts, marketing and consumer law, data protection, and dispute resolution.

At Patrade, she will join the Aarhus office, which is led by partner and Attorney-at-Law (H) Eva Nødskov Aaen.
"Patrade is growing, and we have for some time been looking for an experienced colleague who can both help maintain our existing business and attract new clients," says Eva Nødskov Aaen.
Patrade is an IP consultancy specializing in intellectual property - a field where skilled specialists are in high demand. This makes Birgitte’s appointment particularly significant:
"Working with intellectual property requires strong business understanding, and it is a field with relatively few qualified candidates. Birgitte is a respected name in the industry and has a background that goes beyond the traditional attorney path. She has commercial insight and can contribute strategic advice at a high level from day one," says Eva Nødskov Aaen.
Birgitte herself highlights Patrade’s advisory style as a key reason for her move:
"After many years as an in-house attorney at Lars Larsen Group, where I worked at the intersection of law, business, and strategy, I wanted to apply my experience in a new context—where professionalism, business development, and client relationships go hand in hand. Patrade’s advisory style aligns with my own values: holistic, in-depth, and with a sharp focus on the client’s reality," says Birgitte Pasgaard.
On the transition from in-house to advisory work, she says:
"The move from in-house to advisor is not a goodbye to the business - quite the opposite. At Patrade, I continue the strategic advising I am passionate about and for which Patrade is known. Here, I gain the professional depth I value and access to unique solutions that create real value for clients, for example in online brand protection," says Birgitte Pasgaard.
