IAM Patent 1000 2026 edition is live

We are happy to share that Patrade has been recognized in the Silver Tier for Patent Prosecution in Denmark in the IAM Patent 1000 2026 – the guide to the world's leading patent professionals.

We are especially pleased that Nina Skivesen has been recognized as a Recommended Individual, highlighting her expertise and dedication to helping clients protect and maximize the value of their innovations.

The ranking also recognizes the strength of Patrade’s patent practice, led by co-heads Nina Skivesen and Lasse Rosenfeld Lauridsen, and reflects our team's commitment to delivering high-quality IP advice across patent prosecution, portfolio development, licensing, enforcement, and strategic IP protection.

A big thank you to our clients and colleagues for their trust and collaboration.

From IAM Patent 1000:

"Patrade stands as one of Denmark’s largest dedicated IP boutiques, combining technical expertise with a commercially focused approach to patent strategy and disputes. The firm advises across the full lifecycle of IP rights, from invention capture and portfolio development through to enforcement, licensing and litigation. The team is also active before the Unified Patent Court, ensuring that prosecution strategies are developed with enforcement in mind. In addition to its strength in patent work, the firm has developed a comprehensive approach to trade secrets, supporting clients with internal policies, contractual frameworks and broader IP protection strategies.

Co-heads Nina Skivesen and Lasse Rosenfeld Lauridsen, both European Patent Attorneys and UPC representatives, lead the practice and anchor its international capability across complex prosecution and enforcement matters. Skivesen advises on all aspects of patent work, including drafting, portfolio development and licensing strategy, with particular strength in mechanics, process technologies and computer-implemented inventions. Her background in research and industry enables her to align patent strategy closely with technical development and business priorities. She plays a central role for clients such as Anker Andersen, Landia and WTT Innovation ApS, supporting invention harvesting, drafting and international prosecution, including before the EPO. She also advises on licensing negotiations, freedom-to-operate assessments and broader IP strategy, often extending her work to the implementation of trade secret frameworks.

Whilst Lauridsen focuses on computer-implemented inventions, high-tech and mechanical systems, including agricultural technologies. He combines technical depth with active involvement in international IP developments relating to software and digital innovation. His recent work includes representing Hybridgenerator in infringement proceedings before the Unified Patent Court against HGsystems ApS, involving enforcement of a European patent and complex evidential issues. He is also acting for Swipbox Development ApS in an infringement action concerning a unitary patent".

How it's done

The rankings are based on an extensive five-month research process involving thousands of interviews with private practice lawyers, patent attorneys and in-house counsel across dozens of jurisdictions. In the United States, researchers also sought recommendations on expert witnesses recognised for their outstanding contributions on damages and technical issues in patent disputes.

IAM’s nine-person research team, based across London, Manchester and Hong Kong, analysed the interview findings alongside written submissions and client feedback to identify the firms and practitioners regarded as leaders in patent-related legal services.

Individuals are included in the IAM Patent 1000 only after receiving strong endorsements from peers and clients with direct knowledge of their practice and market reputation. In jurisdictions where practitioners are known for particular specialisms, the guide features dedicated rankings for prosecution, transactions and litigation.
