Steffen Humlegaard-Skaaning

Steffen has a soft spot for entrepreneurs and is committed to ensuring that entrepreneurs and start-ups implement an IP strategy in their business plans, as this is so crucial to their competitive strength. Steffen has worked with IP for almost 20 years. By defining an IP strategy to suit to each individual client, he ensures that our clients’ intellectual property rights are always protected at the highest possible level.

Besides strategy, Steffen’s responsibilities also include the drafting of patent applications and enforcement, whether in Denmark or abroad. Moreover, he works with infringement assessments, IP strategies, IP administration, opposition cases before the EPO, freedom-to-operate analyses and patentability assessments.

Steffen holds an MSc in Electronic Engineering from Odense Technical College (now the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark), specialising in low current engineering. Through his work as in-house and external patent attorney, Steffen has further specialised in wind energy, and he has worked in the fields of robotics and software technology.
