Simon Tønners

Simon has extensive expertise in the fields of trademarks and design rights and the management of piracy and infringement cases both in Denmark and abroad. He advises on the establishment, maintenance, exploitation and enforcement of intellectual property rights, including the drafting of IP strategies.

Prior to joining our firm, Simon had been employed as a legal adviser with the Danish Patent and Trademark Office and an IP adviser with two Danish patent and trademark agencies. He also has experience from in-house positions.

Simon holds an LLM from the University of Copenhagen and has completed a professional master’s programme in European Intellectual Property Law at Stockholm University.

Last but not least, Simon is a recommended individual on the 2023 WTR 1000 ranking where he is labelled “a definite rising star in IP. Simon is pragmatic and known for thinking outside of the box to achieve favourable results.”
