Nina entered the world of IPR in 2015 as a patent attorney. Nina has experience in research and development from both academia and industry.
Today Nina works with patent application drafting and prosecution for small to medium-sized high tech companies primarily in the field of optics, technical physics, software, production systems and general mechanics.
Nina has worked with novelty search, patent application drafting and prosecutions before patent authorities in Denmark, Europe and the US. She has finished the two-year CEIPI basic training course in European Patent Law and passed the Pre-EQE exam as part of her training towards becoming a European Patent Attorney.
Nina has experience from academia, where she has worked with thin film sensor technology; particularly conventional optical and photonic waveguides used as biosensors. Subsequently she worked for several years in the industry with product development emphasizing on materials, production optimization and process implementation.
Nina graduated with a PhD in Physics from Copenhagen University whilst employed at the Danish national laboratory, Risoe working on optical biosensors. She holds a Master in optics and materials physics from Aalborg University specializing in thin film technology and surface physics. Nina has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles.
